The Lake George Arts Project invites regional, national, emerging, and established artists to submit exhibition proposals for the 2027 Courthouse Gallery exhibitions. Preference is given to experimental or non-traditional work created in the last two years. Exhibition proposals must include 10 to 12 images of recent work, a resume/CV, and a statement/bio.
Proposals can be submitted online starting December 1, 2025 through the deadline at 11:59 PM on January 31, 2026.
The Lake George Arts Project was established in 1977 to offer comprehensive programs in the arts. Its mission is to provide exposure and income opportunities to professional and emerging artists and to provide quality arts programming for the residents and visitors of the Lake George region.
About The Courthouse Gallery: The Lake George Arts Project's Courthouse Gallery presents 8 exhibitions annually by national, regional, emerging, and established contemporary visual artists who work in all media. The Mission of our gallery is to provide exhibition opportunities to emerging and professional artists, with preference given to work created within the last two years, and to experimental or non-traditional work.
Submission Fee: $0 - The Lake George Arts Project is committed to ensuring our opportunities for artists are accessible to all and there is no fee to submit your work Selection Process: All submissions are reviewed by a jury of three professionals working in the field (artists, arts administrators, curators, etc.) Jurors meet in February to review submissions, and selections are made in late March. All artists will receive notification of the status of their submission at the end of April 2026. Exhibition Stipends: All artists selected to exhibit their work will receive a $400 stipend, plus an additional $100 stipend from the Laura Von Rosk Legacy Fund, paid at the conclusion of their exhibition.
